Famille rieu Verdier

Passionate winemakers, Céline and Nicolas have been expanding and shaping the vineyard since 2005, in the heart of unspoilt countryside in the north-east of the Gard.
We are committed to preserving our exceptional terroirs and the life of our soils and wildlife.
As committed winegrowers, we were one of the first three wineries in the Gard to obtain High Environmental Value certification, followed by Terra Vitis certification.
In 2020, we created a brand new range of wines made exclusively from our certified estate, bearing both our names and the names of our children.
Our commitment to the environment and biodiversity means we can showcase our exceptional terroirs and make wines with soul and character, in keeping with the family winegrowing tradition.

With each new vintage, we hope to introduce you to our bold, modern in-house cuvées.

Artisan winegrowers

Nicolas, a trained oenologist, and Céline make VINS DE FRANCE, CEPAGES, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Rhône VILLAGES, VILLAGES CHUSCLAN and LAUDUN through a range of fine wines in bottles and bag-in-box. We also make upstream cuvées and tailor-made blends for our professional customers.
We are artisan winemakers. We make wines with soul and character, always respecting people, the land and our traditions, with a touch of modernity and a dash of daring, all in a simple way.

UNITED IN LIFE AS IN THE VINE

Céline and nicolas

I did my secondary and higher education in the wine sector, notably at the University of Wine in Suze la Rousse, where I obtained a degree in wine management and marketing. I completed my studies at ENSAM AGRO in Montpellier, specialising in international trade in food and wine companies.
Passionate about the world of wine and wine tasting, I also passed the 3 levels of the WSET and travelled in the southern hemisphere, South Africa, Australia and the northern hemisphere in the United States and Canada.
I also worked in Provence and in the Languedoc and Rhône trade before finally returning to my winegrowing roots in 2005. In 2010, I took over the management of Château d'Orsan and developed the vineyards with Nicolas.
- Céline
I did my secondary education in the vine and wine industry in the Rhône Valley. I wanted to discover another great wine region and went to Burgundy to do a BTS in viticulture and oenology at the Lycée de Beaune. During my training, I was able to discover and work in the world of grands crus. Passionate about winemaking and agronomy, I finished my studies by obtaining a diploma in oenology from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Montpellier. In order to have a complete picture and to practise my profession as an oenologist, I also worked in cooperative groups and Languedoc estates.
In 2005, I joined Céline on her family estate at Château d'Orsan and developed my own vineyard.
