Dégustation

It has a deep red colour with purple highlights. The nose, like the palate, is intense and richly aromatic. There are notes of black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant, spices with a background of liquorice, a subtle perfume of garrigue and black olive and a hint of minerality. The tannins are silky and ample. This is a powerful wine, but with finesse, well-balanced and long on the palate.

Accords culinaires

It's a great accompaniment to any meal, especially red meat, roasts, game and cheese. Ready to enjoy, this wine can also be kept for several years in bottle. It should be served at around 16-17°C.

Cépages

The vines are grown on terraces with good exposure to the sun, on silico-limestone soils that give the wine freshness and elegance. With an average age of 50 years, each plot of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsaut, Carignan and Counoise grows harmoniously, respecting nature and its biodiversity.

Vinification

The grapes are sorted and picked by hand at optimum ripeness. The grapes are brought to the winery by gravity to keep them intact. Traditional whole bunch maceration lasts around 15 days, to allow this exceptional terroir to express itself to the full.
